Mothers Day 2012
This weekend I had a fabulous mother's day!! Saturday morning we all got up and went and got breakfast and ventured out to find the perfect hammock....lol, i know it's silly but I've REALLY been wanting a hammock for these beautiful summer nights.....as if I would ever have time to lay in one. I found the one I wanted..and it was $200. Poor Josh was willing to buy this (he is a very smart with spending) because he knew I wanted it but I just couldn't justify spending that much for something that would sit out in the rain not being used most of the time. We decided to do a little more shopping and let the kids go read and play at Barnes & Noble. This has become there favorite hang out spot as they both love reading and I don't mind the caffeine free vanilla latte either!
As we were walking out Josh ran back in as I loaded the kids up in the car.....10 minutes later he comes out with bag in hand and says "happy mothers day from me and the kids"! The NOOK COLOR! wow, I have secretly wanted this for months but didn't feel like I had enough down time to buy one. I was thrilled....it also came with a cute Lily Pulitzer cover. I felt so spoiled due to the quality time we were all spending and then the gifts. All in all, perfect mother's day weekend Saturday!!
That afternoon Kinlee and I had plans with my girlfriend and her daughter to attend the mother daughter tea party at a Brown Pusey house in our local area. We made the girls hats earlier in the week and got all dolled up. There was a happy hats contest, KINLEE WON! :) I was excited. It was a blast!
On Sunday, Mother's Day, I reflected on the fact that my mom wasn't here to share this day with me. I know she is here, I can feel her a lot of the times but I just miss the physicality. It's been 14 years since I've been able to celebrate with her, hug her, kiss her, talk to her and I just miss it. I had a bit of an emotional time at one point but overall had a very blessed weekend. I miss you mom, and HAPPY MOTHERS DAY! :)
18 weeks-20 weeks
Well, we've made it half way!! I feel baby H or baby K kicking all the time and I just love it. Part of me is sad that this will be my last pregnancy! :( Pardon the PJ's in the first pic I was trying to get 18,19,20 week pics. My belly has grown but I feel great and have gotten a lot of energy back!!
How sweet is that little 20 week profile!! Awwwww......we decided not to find out this time, while we found out with the other two...b/c we have one of each so it makes us no difference. EVERYONE guesses boy by my belly, but I've carrie dmy other two pretty much the exact same way (i'm tall) so who knows!! :) We're excited to meet this baby either way!!
Sporty? I think so...
GO CARDINALS! Kinlee is playing T ball this year and has had so much fun!! Not only has she learned some great basic sports concepts, we've learned she throws and hits left handed! We knew she wrote and was a "lefty" but didn't know that she would be that way in other areas!~ She is on a team with her cousin/best bud Braylin and her mamaw chelle is the dugout mom!! My dad (papaw) also coaches along with Aunt Kayla! We've had fun watching these games this summer!!
Kinlee's 4th birthday!
Kinlee had a great 4th birthday!! We had a big plan to have a drive in outside, we rented a projector and we were watching "How to train your dragon". Luckily, the weather had other plans....it was rainy, windy and 34 degrees!! APril 21, 34 degrees...REALLY? So we moved it all inside her mamaws house!! It ended up being a blast....
Kinlee,
As I think back over the last 4 years I don't know where they've gone. You've become such a big girl and you have the kindest heart. As a 3-4 year old you've developed a caring, quiet spirit that I admire in you. You remind me of myself in alot of ways and I am one blessed woman that I'm your mommy!! I love you!
GO CATS! Uk = #1
We were so excited to celebrate the Cats winning the National Championship. The kids got to play with there best friends while we watched Kentucky seal the win. It was a great night with great friends and family!!
